“Sink or Swim”
My Grandfather said this to me at a young age, referring to the time he had decided to take a leap on his own to build a company he had little experience in. Those words have echoed in my mind since then and color much of what I do to this day.
My Grandfather was married to my Grandmother for almost 70 years. The home they lived in still has the original concrete specifically poured to meet his family’s needs. His actions communicated several messages: built to last, tailored to his needs, and something that he was proud to live with.
In 2020, like many of us, I was met with a crossroads. I decided to take the same leap that my Grandfather made so many years ago. The hard work that I witnessed all of my life from both my Grandfather and my Father inspired me to put in my own hard work to build what Maker’s Way is today.
In building Maker’s Way, I uphold the same values as my Grandfather did. I desire you have pieces from me that exactly meet your needs and are built to last. I pride myself on the use of quality materials and craftsmanship.
Maker’s Way is focused on bringing people and ideas together. I try to blend the “old ways" of craftsmanship with the modern tools that we have today. I try to blend all of the talents I have accrued over the span of my life to create these pieces. I try to blend quality without sacrificing your life savings. I try to blend my ideas with yours, to create new ideas from what we dream up together. But most of all, I am trying to build on the legacy my Grandfather built: that I can inspire you to take a leap and build memories to last.
